LOJZE SLAK
– plays the diatonic accordion; composer and songwriter of many of the songs and also leader of the group. If necessary he can also be a chauffer. Well known as a mountaineer, nearly alpinist. After climbing Šmarna Gora (669m) several times, he conquered the peak of Triglav (2864m), the tallest mountain in Slovenia. He will forever remember it because he still carries a scar over his right eye received from the climb. Lojze is a passionate Dolenjec and is of course completely enamoured with his vineyard on Trška Gora, where he produces Cvicek, a superb wine from the region, which for those that have tried it, will happily support the claim.

NIKO ZLOBKO
- entered the Brothers Slak Ensemble with his clarinet in 1959 as a replacement for Matija Slak when he left to serve in the army. He recorded his first record with the instrumentals of the Lojze Slak Trio at the recording studio RTB in Belgrade. A interesting anecdote remains at the publisher "Jež" in Belgrade. A mistake was made while printing the cover page and inadvertently, the negative picture of the Slak Trio on the cover. Lojze and Niko was reversed. They became known as south paws, domestically called "levaka". From that time on, they became known as "The South Paws From Slovenia" to everyone south of the Sotla river (Levaci iz Slovenije). Besides clarinet, Niko Zlobko also plays guitar and he is also one of the originators of the famous Slak sound.

TONE ŠTRITOF
is from head to toe a "Kamnican" (a descendant of Kamnik) or better said the one with Berda up to Baritone which he got from Franc Sever after he left the band and swapped the ensemble for a barrister's profession. Many legends document his success, but the most notable information seems to come from the oenologists, where they claim that Tone is a success in the Trio from a very different official and social point of view. In any case, the man is multi faceted, and in a pinch can sing bass as well.

ANDREJ BERGANT
– the first tenor and also the one who usually runs the show. He takes care of the sound system, and on tour, is also the official translator of the ensemble.

FRANCI REBERNIK
– the second tenor. He is an admirer of the baroque style of painting, especially from the Rococo period. Lately he leans more to the avant-garde style.

JANEZ DOLENC – the second bass and also Financial expert of the ensemble. He is fanatically devoted to the Hunting Brotherhood and lately also trying to get a Masters Degree in Tarok.

The strongest characteristic of the ensemble Slak: They always stick together and even if they wanted, they wouldn't know how to get on each other's nerves.
