He joined to the ensemble in 1990 as a guitarist and writer of arrangements of vocal and vocal-instrumental songs, among them were: Srečno, mlada Slovenija!, Mama, Slavček and Čebelar. He collaborated with the ensemble until 2001. He was best known as a longtime member of the Big Band Orchestra of the RTV Slovenia, and he also worked in many other ensembles. He led the Milan Ferlež Ensemble, he was the guitarist of the Ljubljana Jazz Ensemble and a member of the Dance Orchestra of Radio Ljubljana (from which the Big Band Orchestra of RTV Slovenia later developed). He has worked as a music author and arranger in the fields of jazz, pop and folk music.
